A practical Softix note for teams deciding what to build, improve, or prioritize next.
Start with who will manage content
If a marketing team needs to publish frequently without developer help, a mature content system can be a strong advantage. If the site behaves more like a product or application, a custom build may fit better.
Think about functionality, not fashion
The platform should follow the job. Brochure sites, editorial sites, portals, dashboards, booking systems, and SaaS products have very different requirements.
Budget for ownership
Initial development cost is only one part of the decision. Include updates, plugins, hosting, security, content changes, developer availability, and future redesign work.
Keep the architecture proportional
A small business website does not need enterprise complexity. At the same time, forcing a highly custom workflow into dozens of plugins can become expensive. The simplest architecture that comfortably supports the next stage is usually the best choice.
